We Need to Forgive Others!
The Bible mentions forgiving (in several forms) over 80 times.  We need to be forgiven by God
in order to have eternal life.  He has granted this to us as we, through faith, accept that He has
given us His Son to take our place and take the punishment for our sins.

1 Jn 1:9                    "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and
                                 purify us from all unrighteousness."

Acts 10:34-43         "All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him
receives forgiveness of sins through His name."

How much more, then, should we forgive others?  We are sinful people, and we all have
been treated poorly by others at one time or another.  We must ask God for the strength to
forgive others, even when we have been greatly wronged.  Often this is easier said than
done, but Jesus Christ, God's Son, asks (and even commands) that we forgive others:

Eph 4:32                  "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as
God In Christ has forgiven you."

Mat 18:21-22           "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive
my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"  Jesus
answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."

Our encouragement to you:  find someone that you know you owe forgiveness, bestow that to
them, and have that burden lifted from your heart.
